Hereford fell to a 3-2 defeat away to Radcliffe.

The home side took an early lead through Jordan Hulme before Andy Williams grabbed an equaliser.

Radcliffe went back in front with a penalty scored by Tom Walker.

Hulme scored again just past the hour mark before Yusifu Ceesay pulled one back for Hereford but it was not enough.

The loss dropped the Bulls into 10th whilst the Boro climbed out of the relegation zone and up to 19th.

Paul Caddis made five changes to the side that drew to Southport with Alex Babos, Tate Campbell and Declan McGlynn returning to the midfield and Jason Cowley and Williams leading the line.

Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson made two alterations to the side that drew to Needham Market with Brad Jackson and George Glendon replacing Olly Thornley and Anthony Dudley.

The home side got off to the perfect start when they took the lead in the fourth minute after a cross into the box from Jackson was tapped home by Hulme.

Hereford had their first big chance of the game in the 10th minute after Williams headed the ball into the path of his striker partner to put him in on goal, but Cowley dragged his shot wide.

The game quietened down after a lively beginning, that was until the 24th minute when Walker put an inviting cross into the box, but Matt Sargent was unable to guide his effort on target.

Five minutes later, the Bulls got the equaliser after Williams chipped the ball brilliantly over the keeper from a tight angle.

In the 35th minute, the hosts were awarded a penalty after Hulme was brought down inside the box which was converted by Walker to put his side back ahead.

Cowley forced a good save out of Mateusz Hewelt on the verge of half-time which was the final action meaning it was 2-1 going into the break.

The second 45 got off to a quiet start with no real chances for either side until the 57th minute when the ball dropped to McGlynn on the edge of the area, the American connected well with a volley but it was just wide.

Radcliffe pulled further ahead just past the hour mark after Jackson picked out Hulme at the back post who put the ball past Theo Richardson to get his second of the game.

Caddis’ side responded brilliantly as they pulled one back just two minutes later when Yusifu Ceesay beat his man and fired the ball across goal and into the back of the net from a tight angle.

The Boro came close to scoring a fourth in the 84th minute when a corner delivered by Danny Greenfield found the head of Josh Hancock but his effort hit the bar from close range.

Hereford came agonisingly close to a late equaliser when a deflected Sammy Robinson cross was cleared off the line.

That was the final action of the game meaning that it finished 3-2.
