About us

Hereford FC is the ‘phoenix’ football club that was formed to be the continuation of Hereford United after the original club was wound up in December 2014.

After three months of negotiations with Herefordshire Council, in March 2015 Hereford FC agreed a five year lease for the Edgar Street stadium and the new club was immediately entered into the Midland Football League. After a shaky start under former Hereford United manager, Pete Beadle, the club now sits at the top of the table with Beadle’s players entertaining fans with some excellent football.

Club officials cautiously targeted 250 Season Ticket holders and average crowds of around 800 people, but the reality is that the club now have more than 1550 Season Ticket holders and are seeing average crowds of over 2750.

Incredibly, on three occasions already, more than 4000 supporters have packed into Edgar Street to watch games.

The long-term aim for the club is to progress back to the Football League as quickly as possibly, but to do this being run in a sustainable manner with the local community at the heart of everything it does.
