Hereford returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory away to Needham Market.

Sammy Robinson took the lead with a goal from a corner at the start of the second-half before Jaiden White came off the bench to grab the second and seal the game.

The win keeps the Bulls in ninth whilst the Marketmen drop into the relegation zone.

Paul Caddis made four changes to the side that lost to Spennymoor with Levi Andoh, Aaron Skinner, Adam Rooney and Jason Cowley replacing Kyle Howkins, Tate Campbell, Jaiden White and Yusifu Ceesay.

Tom Rothery made three alterations to the team that beat Farsley Celtic with Marcus Garnham, Kyle Hammond and Dan Morphew coming in for Josh Blunkell, Kieran Morphew and Iffy Allen.

The game got off to a quiet start with neither side creating anything of note in the early stages.

That was until the 16th minute when Jamie McGrath was picked out at the back post from a free-kick, he headed the ball across to Seth Chambers but the number nine put his effort just over.

Hereford then went up the other end and had their first chance of the game when Sammy Robinson picked out Jason Cowley with a good cross but his effort was tipped wide by Marcus Garnham.

After another quiet period, Jacob Lay threatened the Bulls’ defence when he picked the ball up just past the half-way line, he then carried the ball into the box and worked it onto his left foot but he blazed his shot over the bar.

Caddis’ side had a big chance in the 43rd minute when a long ball into the box was flicked on by Matt Preston to Adam Rooney but the striker, who was facing the wrong way, could not get enough on his header.

That was the final action of the first half meaning it was 0-0 going into the break.

Hereford took the lead early in the second 45 when the ball dropped to Robinson from a corner, his initial shot was blocked but he made no mistake with the re-bound which found the bottom left corner.

Andy Williams was gifted an opportunity in the 67th minute when a failed clearance fell to him on the half-volley just inside the box but his effort was kept out by the keeper.

Needham Market came close just over 10 minutes later when Hammond was found free on the right side of the box with a brilliant cross-field ball, he connected well with a volley but not well enough as it hit the side netting.

Soon after, Caddis’ side made it two when a long ball forward was not dealt with, Garnham came for the ball and won the header but it dropped to White who placed the ball into the open net.

That was the final action of the game meaning it finished 2-0.
