We’re delighted to announce the signing of Charlie Cooper on a loan deal that sees the Yeovil midfielder stay at the MandM Edgar Street until 5th January. 

The 28 year-old boast a wealth of experience playing in the football league with both Forest Green Rovers and Newport County.

Starting his career in the Birmingham City academy, he was promoted to the first team before loan spells at Forest Green and York City. He made his move to Gloucestershire permanent after a successful loan spell where he helped Rovers secure promotion to League Two.

Making well over 200 appearances in the National League for the likes of Halifax, Woking, Wealdstone, Oldham Athletic and Yeovil.

“Charlie is an experienced player who will bring a calmness to our play. He is a good footballer who understands his role and we are delighted to be able to attract him to Edgar Street.

“Charlie joins us at a time where we have a few players missing and will add to the competition in the middle of pitch when everyone is back fit and firing. I’m really looking forward to working with Charlie and integrating him into our squad.”
