The Bulls are back in FA Cup action on Saturday as they travel down south to take on Hemel Hempstead Town in the third qualifying round.

Hereford will be looking to build on their recent improved form after a poor start to the season, which has seen them go five games unbeaten in all competitions.

Their most recent game was a hard-fought tie in the second qualifying round, which saw them beat Sporting Khalsa 3-2 after extra time.

The Bulls fought back from going behind twice through Sam Osborne and Remaye Campbell, before Eno Nto scored late in extra time to secure a place in the next round.

“We showed brilliant character as a group, that’s a few times recently we’ve gone behind and got back into games,” said Adam Rooney.

Hemel Hempstead have had a brilliant start to the season in the National League South, winning four, drawing four, and losing just once, which sees them sat in 7th.

The Tudors are on a good run at the moment as they are also unbeaten in five.

Their most recent game was a 1-0 win at home to Farnborough in the league with a goal from the inform Millar Matthews-Lewis.

Lee Allinson’s side comfortably beat Bishop’s Stortford in the previous round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 win.

Hemel Hempstead also drew Bishop’s Stortford at the same point last season, where they were beaten, before they then went on to also knock out Hereford in the next round.

The side from Hertfordshire finished 12th last season, 17 points off the play-offs.

Hereford fans will be hoping to see their side go further in the FA Cup than they did last season on Saturday.

One to Watch:

Millar Matthews-Lewis (HEMEL HEMPSTEAD):

The forward has been in fine form recently with four goals in the last five games.

Matthews-Lewis came through the Luton Town academy before joining Farnborough, where he scored nine league goals last season.

He initially joined Hemel Hempstead last season on loan, before signing permanently in the summer.

Allinson will be hoping his talisman can continue his recent rich vein of form on Saturday.
