Hereford progressed into the third qualifying round of the FA Cup with a 2-3 win away to Sporting Khalsa after extra time.

The home side took the lead in the 77th minute through Andre Landell, Sam Osborne then equalised soon after before Bradley Burgess put the Lions back in front.

Remaye Campbell then produced a last-minute equaliser with a brilliant strike.

Eno Nto grabbed the winner for the away side in the 108th minute in extra time.

The Bulls will now travel to Hemel Hempstead in the third qualifying round on Saturday.

Paul Caddis made three changes to the side that beat Worksop Town on Saturday, with Keenan Quansah, Mitchell Roberts, and Matt Richards replacing Matt Preston, Michael Parker, and Lawson D’Ath.

Ian Rowe made just one change to the team that lost to Mossley AFC, with Peter Taylor coming in for Kieron Whittaker.

The Bulls nearly took an instant lead when Andy Williams unleashed a volley that went over the keeper’s head and onto the roof of the net.

Sporting Khalsa came close in the 10th minute when Stan Asomugha cut inside and fired the ball past the on-rushing Theo Richardson and against the far post.

In the 33rd minute, Omari Sterling-James forced a good save out of Ravan Constable from a free-kick; the ball was palmed away into the path of Williams, but he put the rebound into the side netting.

That was the final action of the first half, which meant it was goalless going into the break.

I-Lani Edwards came close in the 49th minute when he produced a brilliant bit of footwork which allowed him to cut inside from the right, but his effort was put narrowly wide.

Hereford kept up the pressure when Williams latched onto a long ball, which put him one-on-one with Constable before he was denied by the keeper.

In the 71st minute, Sterling-James continued to cause trouble from set pieces, this time a deep cross he put in evaded everyone and struck the post.

The home side took the lead in the 77th minute when Constable fired the ball down the middle of the pitch, Landell beat Aaron Skinner to the ball and took aim; his first effort was saved by Richardson, but he converted the rebound.

Remaye Campbell had a huge chance when he was put through on goal, but he fired the ball straight at the keeper.

Hereford got the equaliser in the 82nd minute when a quick throw found its way to substitute Osborne, who lifted the ball over Constable and into the back of the net.

Sporting Khalsa responded swiftly when they took the lead again three minutes later after the Bulls failed to clear the ball away; it then bounced kindly for Burgess, who fired his half-volley home.

The non-stop late drama continued when Campbell fired a spectacular volley on the spin from the edge of the box into the far corner to equalise in stoppage time and send the tie to extra-time.

Caddis’ side pushed for a goal late in the first half of extra-time, first with Nto, who forced a good save out of Constable before Osborne fired narrowly wide from range.

In the 107th minute, Campbell beat the keeper to a cross, but his header was cleared off the line by a defender.

The Bulls took the lead a minute later when Nto poked the ball over the line after a goalmouth scramble.

Hereford caught the Lions on the break through Osborne, he attempted to curl the ball over the head of Constable, but the keeper produced a phenomenal fingertip save.

That was the final action of the game which meant it finished 2-3.
