The Hereford FC playing squad are having their training and recovery sessions enhanced thanks to generous support from the Hereford Tachograph Centre.

The support being offered sees the Hereford Tachograph Centre sourcing and supplying resistance bands (from Power Grip Sports) for the Bulls players to use at training and on matchdays.

Resistance bands are elastic bands used for strength training and physical therapy, providing external resistance during exercises. The bands can help to build strength by engaging more muscles, increase intensity of movements, improve range of motion and mobility, and activate and tone muscles, making them a versatile tool for various fitness levels.

Steve Taylor, from the Hereford Tachograph Centre, said:

“Last Christmas my son Elliot and I were standing in the Meadow End, as always, looking over the team sheet discussing all the players out injured with minor injuries and I said to him, ‘what can we do as supporters to aid in their recovery?’.

“Firstly, we were thinking about leg strappings, as used by Kyle Howkins, or maybe paying towards some physio treatment, but then over the close season I had discussions with Power Grip Sports about resistance bands, remembering that I used one myself to help recovery from a broken leg.

“Power Grip were already supplying them to local rivals Kidderminster Harriers and they kindly agreed to supply them to me at cost price, so the deal was done and now they can be used by the players as training aids to help reduce and/or recover from muscle injuries.”

Bulls Chairman, Chris Ammonds, commented:

“We are very grateful to Steve and the Hereford Tachograph Centre for their support and the new bands are already being put to good use. Partnerships like this are vitally important to the club and on behalf of everyone at the club – including the players – I’d like to thank Steve for his generosity and work sourcing this important training aid.”
