To the Hereford FC fans and club,

I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the kind and loving messages I’ve received over the past few days. Whether through social media, phone calls, or personal visits, your words and memories have brought great comfort and are helping me to reflect on the remarkable man Ron was.

Ron was at his happiest when immersed in all things Hereford FC (and Hereford United) – writing books, answering your most searching questions, or simply watching great football from the stands at Edgar Street. Even as his health declined over the past six years, his passion for researching the club’s history gave him purpose, focus, and drive.

Ron’s funeral will take place at 2:15pm on 8 August at Hereford Crematorium. Fittingly, the wake will be held afterwards at Edgar Street; thank you to the club for granting his final wish. He would have been truly honoured for anyone who knew him or shared his love of the club to attend.

My family and I would be deeply grateful to hear your stories and memories of Ron. They mean much more than you will ever realise.
