Hereford FC is delighted to announce that the Fanzone outside Radford’s Bar will become a regular matchday feature at the MandM Edgar Street Stadium for the 2025/26 season.

In a project that is being jointly funded by the club and Hereford United Supporters Trust (HUST), a fence will shortly be erected around the club car park – where there are already low metal barriers – which will mean the Fanzone becomes enclosed and is also safely separated from the traffic that drives in and out of the Merton Meadow car park on a matchday.

The fence will include gates that can be closed when matches kick off, so the fanzone is brought ‘inside’ the ground, with the outside bar and food outlet able to continue trading while the game is going on.

Speaking about this project, Bulls Chairman, Chris Ammonds, said:

“We are determined to improve the facilities for our supporters and have been looking at various ways we can improve the ‘fan experience’ at the MandM Edgar Street Stadium.

“The temporary Fanzone we have had previously proved a big hit and it will be great to make it a more regular feature at the ground. The fence will give us separation from the main car park and its access routes, increasing safety, and will also make the Fanzone feel part of the ground, rather than a temporary addition.

“The fence will also include gates that will be closed by stewards when our games kick-off which will also prevent anyone entering the ground late without paying for a ticket.

“I’d like to thank HUST for agreeing to jointly fund this project as it means we can invest some of the money we would have spent on the fence in other areas of the ground.”

HUST Chairman, Richard Tomkins, commented:

“HUST is pleased to contribute towards these facilities to enhance the matchday experience for the fans and feel sure they will be well received by our supporter base.

“We understand this is the first phase of several phases of work where we may be able to make contributions and look forward to working in partnership with the Club on these future projects.”
