The Bulls are back on the road this Saturday as they make the long trip up to County Durham to take on Spennymoor Town.
Hereford will be looking to return to winning ways after losing their first game of the season on Tuesday night when they were beaten 1-0 by Needham Market.
Before that, Paul Caddis’ side had gone six games unbeaten and are still yet to lose away from home.
“It wasn’t good enough, I thought we were a bit toothless up top and we lacked calmness, “We were good between the two boxes but the game is won and lost in those 36 yards and we lost the battle at both ends,” said the Hereford manager.
Spennymoor on the other hand are coming off the back of a 4-2 win away to Radcliffe.
The victory was a big one for the Moors as before that they had gone three games without a win.
Graeme Lee’s side will be aiming for a play-off finish this season as they came extremely close last time, finishing ninth, just one point off a spot in the top seven.
In the last campaign, both sides beat each other at home with Hereford winning 2-1 at Edgar Street and Spennymoor winning 2-0 in the reverse fixture.
The Brewery Field is a place that the Bulls have struggled at in recent years with no points picked up there since 2019, a run that Hereford fans will be hoping comes to an end on Saturday.
Team News
HEREFORD:
Jason Cowley continues to be absent from the squad after picking up an injury in the pre-season friendly against Halesowen Town, but he is progressing well.
“Hopefully we’ll get Cowley back training on Thursday and then we’ll go from there but he still has a bit of discomfort,” said Caddis.
Aaron Skinner was absent from the matchday squad against Needham Market but this was due to an issue he had with public transport.
Caddis also revealed that Ahkeem Rose and Yusifu Ceesay had been struggling from a lack of pre-season, whilst Lawson D’Ath had a tight calf.
