The Bulls host Peterborough Sports in the first Tuesday night game of the season with Caddis’ side looking to continue their unbeaten start to the 2024/2025 campaign.

Hereford have started the season strongly with a 3-0 win at home to South Shields, following that up with a hard-fought draw away to Chorley last Saturday.

“I don’t think we deserved much from the game (against Chorley), we were very poor but we’ve got to consider that we’ve come to a club that finished fourth last season and not lost,” said the Hereford manager.

Peterborough Sports on the other hand are without a win so far this season with two 1-0 losses against Chorley and Warrington Town.

Michael Gash and Luke Steele’s side were comfortable in mid-table last season finishing 15th, eight points above the relegation zone and 11 below Hereford.

They did however win at Edgar Street last August in a 0-1 win and the Turbines will certainly be looking for a repeat of that victory.

“I’m expecting a tough game, they beat us at home last season, I think they’ll be physical and up for it, they’ll come to try and spoil our day and we’ve got to respect that,” said Caddis.

Team News

Jason Cowley continues to miss out with the injury he sustained during pre-season.

Aaron Skinner, who is recovering from a hamstring tear, was on the bench again against Chorley but did not feature as he continues to build his match sharpness.

“He’s (Skinner) fine, he’s just not had a lot of minutes and we can’t just put him on the pitch and expect him to play brilliantly,” explained Caddis.

Cosmos Matwasa returned to the match-day squad on Saturday after missing out on the opening game through injury but also did not feature.

Ones to Watch

Ahkeem Rose (HEREFORD):

The late summer arrival scored in his first appearance for the Bulls last Saturday, coming off the bench to grab the equaliser against Chorley. The striker joined the club on a short-term deal after the injury to Cowley and has quickly found his feet. After scoring seven goals in just 14 games in the Scottish League One last season, Rose certainly knows how to find the back of the net.

“He (Rose) is a real live wire, he gets himself into some brilliant positions and he’s got that instinct to get into the box at the right time,” explained the Hereford manager.

Dion Sembie-Ferris (PETERBOROUGH SPORTS):

The Peterborough-born winger is certainly one to look out for. Sembie-Ferris featured 25 times for Colchester United in League One between 2013-2017 before eventually moving to Peterborough Sports. There he would find his feet, scoring 39 goals in 56 games which earned him a move to Scunthorpe United. He scored eight goals last season, four for Scunthorpe and four when on loan at the Turbines and he will certainly be looking to make an impact on Tuesday night.
