We’re excited to announce the signing of defender, Sammy Robinson Ahead of Saturday’s final pre-season friendly against Newport County.

Robinson started his youth career at Leeds United before a move to Manchester City’s academy in 2016. He made a total of 16 appearances in the Professional Development League, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

After coming out the the City academy, Sammy secured a move to League 2 side, Port Vale where he spent 18 months making 23 appearances at the age of 20. In June 2023, Robinson moved to then National League side, Kidderminster Harriers making 22 appearances under manager Russ Penn.

Caddis speaking on his latest defensive addition:

“I’m really pleased to bring Sam in. He has the ability to be flexible in his position and plays them all as effective as the other. We know his attributes allows us to play Sammy across the back 4 and as an attacking wing back as well. I think it’s important we find players who can play multiple positions for more reasons than one. Sammy fits that criteria. A tough tackler and someone who plays the game with aggression out of possession but a real calmness in possession with immense quality and technical ability. I am so pleased to bring Sam into an already tight hardworking group of players.”
