The Sellebrity Soccer match being held at Edgar Street on Sunday (28th July) will be raising money for three fantastic local charities.
The more support the event has, and the more tickets sold, the more money we will raise for the charities, so please come along to Edgar Street if you can. Your support can make a huge difference!
Below you can find an overview of the three local charities the Sellebrity Soccer event – which kicks off at 3pm – is supporting.
CRY – Kieran Joyce – Cardiac Risk in the Young (c-r-y.org.uk)
Kieran Joyce was a Hereford FC Academy player who sadly passed away aged just 15 and this fund was launched in his memory to support the work done by Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) across the country.
CRY is a charity which aims to prevent sudden cardiac arrest in the young through awareness, screening and research, and through supporting affected families.
The fund in Kieran’s name raises money to create awareness of young sudden cardiac arrest deaths and to facilitate screening in Herefordshire and the surrounding areas.
George’s Fund – George’s Fund (georgesfund.co.uk)
George’s Fund is charity on the Herefordshire Community Foundation which celebrates the short and special life of George Price.
The fund provides grants to local projects that help primary-aged children in Herefordshire overcome physical and emotional barriers through the outdoors.
Be More Frank – Be More Frank | Your Local Children’s Cancer Charity
Be More Frank provides grants to the family of every child with cancer in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire, Powys & Ceredigion.
The grants are not means tested and are easy to access. We believe providing financial assistance during a family’s darkest times when costs spiral is a vital practical support we can offer.
The goal is to continue this provision until the day our children are no longer being diagnosed with cancer.
