The Bulls return to action on Saturday after having no game last weekend with a trip to South Shields.

Hereford will be looking to build on their most recent game, a 2-1 victory away to Leamington, which made it two wins in a row and a total of five unbeaten in the league.

“I am really pleased, I thought it was an excellent performance, we passed the ball well and got into some great areas and could have scored more,” said Paul Caddis.

The fact that the Bulls have had nearly two weeks between games was due to them being knocked out of the FA Cup.

Hereford enter the game on Saturday in 12th, with 14 points, having won four, drawn two and, lost four.

South Shields have had an impressive start to the season, currently topping the table with 26 points, comprising eight wins, two draws, and zero losses.

The Mariners have gone 13 unbeaten in all competitions so far this campaign, which has also seen them qualify for the first round of the FA Cup.

Their most recent game was a 4-0 win at home to Spalding United in the FA Cup.

In the league, their most recent fixture was a 2-0 victory against Chorley.

Ian Watson’s side finished 17th last season, 15 points above safety.

The two sides met twice last season: a 3-0 win at home for the Bulls on the opening day and another 1-0 victory away.

Hereford fans will be hoping to see their side give South Shields their first loss of the season on Saturday.

One to Watch:

Paul Blackett (SOUTH SHIELDS):

The forward has started this season in fine form with seven goals in the opening 10 league games, including five in the last four.

Blackett is no stranger to goals at this level after he scored 22 goals in the league last campaign and 30 the season before.

Caddis’ side were one of the few teams to keep him quiet last season, as he failed to score against the Bulls.

Watson will be hoping his talisman can continue his rich vein of form on Saturday.
