Hereford FC Women delivered a commanding performance in their local derby against Hereford Pegasus FC Ladies, coming out as 5–0 winners in an entertaining clash in West Midlands Regional Women’s Football League Division One South.
From the first whistle, the Bullettes applied early pressure, with every player contributing to a strong team display and despite the scoreline, Pegasus played their part and looked dangerous on the counter, forcing the visiting defence and goalkeeper into action on several occasions.
Maisie Evans broke the deadlock in the first half, giving the Bullettes a narrow lead at the break. The visitors then came out firing in the second half, with left-back Alisha Herdman doubling the advantage with a well-taken goal.
With momentum building, Hereford began to dominate. A penalty was awarded and confidently converted by striker Sheree Smith. The Bullettes then showcased their best football, with Tianna Chant heading home a rare goal before Smith added her second of the afternoon after a slick team move.
It was a confident and clinical performance from Hereford FC Women, who extend their strong run of form.
Everyone at Hereford FC thanks Pegasus for their hospitality and wishes them well for the rest of the season. We also send our best wishes to the home goalkeeper for a speedy recovery from her concerning injury.
