Hereford FC is delighted to announce the loan signing of Montel Gibson from Matlock Town until the end of the season.
A player familiar to the Edgar Steet faithful, Montel Gibson was a part of the squad at the start of the 2024/25. Gibson was a key part in a positive start to last season, netting twice in 8 games.
The ex-League 2 forward joined Notts County aged 18, from where he would spend time on loan at Romulus, Hednesford Town and Sutton Coldfield Town. He would return to League 2 in 2020 with a move to Grimsby Town under manager Ian Holloway.
Hereford manager, Paul Caddis, speaking on Montel Gibson:
“Montel Gibson is no stranger to our supporters, and I am delighted to bring him back to the club on a loan deal.
“I want to stress Montel chose to come back to our club over 7 other interested parties. We have a brilliant relationship and I am excited to work with ‘Monty’ again.
“I am a firm believer in keeping good relationships with players past and present, and in these circumstances, it proves to be a positive outcome. Montel is a fantastic addition to our squad.”
