We’re delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Matt Richards.

The central midfielder who signed a pro-deal with West Bromwich Albion also gained senior minutes on loan at non-league Stourbridge, Alvechurch and, last season, Leamington.

Richards has been part of West Brom’s youth system since he was 11 years old and helped their U21s win the Premier League Cup in 2022 as well as earning the Academy Player of the Year Award that season.

“Matt Richards is a tidy footballer with a great upbringing at West Brom and had 2 successful senior men’s loan spells at Alvechurch and Leamington respectively and he is someone I am pleased to add to our squad.

“Matt will add competition in central midfield but will bring some calmness to our play with his passing and receiving ability in possession. After a successful trial period with us we were fortunate Matt chose to stay with us and continue his development at our club. I am looking forward to continuing to work with Matt and seeing him play in front of our supporters.”
