Hereford returned to winning ways on Tuesday night with a 1-2 win away to Buxton courtesy of a brace from Remaye Campbell.

It was a crucial win after losing the first two games of the season.

“I thought we were excellent for the whole game, we’ve had to stay calm after losing the first two, and so I’m really pleased with the performance,” said Paul Caddis.

The Bulls go into the game on Saturday in 19th place on three points after three games.

Chorley have had a strong start to the season, which has seen them win two and draw one, putting them in third.

After winning the first two games of the season, the side from Lancashire drew their last match 2-2 with Scarborough on Tuesday night.

Andy Preece’s side have found goalscoring an easy task so far, with eight goals from the first three, which is the joint most in the league along with King’s Lynn Town.

“We have got to try and start on the front foot again (against Chorley), Preece is one of the most experienced managers at this level and we know how tough it is going to be,” said Paul Caddis.

Chorley came close to promotion last season after they finished fifth, losing in the play-off semi-finals to the eventual winners Scunthorpe.

The two sides met twice in the league last season, a 1-0 win for the Bulls at Edgar Street and a 1-1 draw at Victory Park.

Hereford fans will be hoping to see their side record back-to-back wins for the first time this season on Saturday.

Kyle Howkins dropped to the bench against Buxton after feeling ill, but he was able to play the final 20 minutes.

Lewis Hudson was forced to make way for Howkins on Tuesday night after his ankle had swollen up following a tackle.
