Hereford will be looking to return to winning ways after a 1-0 loss away to Radcliffe on Monday, which marked their fourth loss in five games.

“We’ve not been good enough so far, and I am going to keep fighting to get it right,” said Paul Caddis.

The Bulls go into the game on Saturday in 23rd place on three points.

Alfreton have had a mixed start to the season as they have picked up five points with one win, two draws, and the same number of defeats, which sees them sat in 18th, two points above Hereford.

The side from Derbyshire were winless from the first four games until Monday when they beat Marine 2-0 at home, courtesy of goals from Max Hunt and Adam Anson.

Billy Heath’s side finished in 14th last season on 59 points, twenty above safety but also 18 behind the play-offs.

Alfreton have been in the National League North since being relegated back in 2015.

During that time, they had two play-off finishes in 2023 and 2024, losing in the Quarter-Finals on both occasions.

The two sides met twice in the league last season, a 2-0 home win for the Bulls courtesy of goals from Yusifu Ceesay and Tate Campbell, and a 0-0 draw at the Impact Arena.

Hereford fans will be hoping to see their side pick up their first home win of the season on Saturday.
