The points were shared in Merseyside as Hereford drew 2-2 with the Marine.

Two first-half goals from Remaye Campbell and Alex Babos gave the away side a comfortable lead at the break.

The hosts fought back with a much improved second-half display with goals from Chris Doyle and Finlay Sinclair-Smith to draw the score level.

The draw kept the Bulls in fourth whilst the Mariners remained in 18th.

Paul Caddis made one change to the side that beat Buxton with debutant Kieran Glynn coming in for Sammy Robinson.

Neil Young also made just one alteration to the team that beat Spennymoor with Bobby Grant coming in for Kallan Murphy.

The first chance of the game fell to the home side when Chris Doyle was picked out from a corner but his header was straight at Theo Richardson.

Marine kept up the pressure when a smart ball into the box was received well by Jack Hazlehurst but his shot was deflected out for a corner.

Hereford grew into the game more and took the lead in the 22nd minute when Babos delivered a fantastic cross into the six-yard box which landed perfectly for Remaye Campbell to tap home.

Babos doubled the lead just past the half-hour mark when he put a looped ball into the box which bounced over the keeper and into the back of the net.

The Bulls continued to dominate for the rest of the first half without really troubling Andrew Wogan meaning it was 2-0 going into the break.

In the 54th minute, a long throw dropped to Matt Preston at the back post, he connected with a half-volley back across goal but the ball bobbled just wide of the post.

The hosts pulled one back just past the hour mark when a free-kick taken by Josh Shaw found the head of Doyle who looped a header over Richardson and into the goal.

Young’s side kept up the momentum and got their reward with an equaliser in the 74th minute when Sinclair-Smith beat Aaron Skinner and fired it home from a tight angle.

The Mariners came close 10 minutes later when a corner caused chaos in a packed Hereford box which forced Richardson into a save from close range.

In the final moments of the game, the ball dropped to Grant from a free-kick, he aimed at goal but Richardson was on hand to make another huge save.

That was the final action of the game meaning it finished 2-2.
