Hereford earned all three points in Norfolk as they beat King’s Lynn Town 2-0

Debutant Remaye Campbell scored the first in the 43rd minute, before Tate Campbell scored in the last minute to seal the win.

The win moves the Bulls into the play-offs in seventh whilst the Linnets drop below Hereford into eighth.

Paul Caddis made three changes to the side that beat Needham Market with debutant Remaye Campbell, Jaiden White and Kyle Howkins replacing Andy Williams, Adam Rooney and Lewis Hudson.

Adam Lakeland named an unchanged lineup and bench to the that won 1-0 away at Curzon Ashton last Saturday.

The Bulls had the first chance of the game in the seventh minute when Dylan Mitchell found White who pulled the trigger from outside the box but his effort was just over the bar.

King’s Lynn came close five minutes later when Tommy Hughes flicked a lovely ball out wide to Finlay Barnes, he then picked out Jonathon Margetts inside the box but his shot was deflected wide.

Remaye Campbell then nearly scored a freak debut goal when a clearance from the Linnets’ goalkeeper deflected off of the new signing who had closed him down and nearly found its way into the net.

In the 27th minute, Sammy Robinson delivered a dangerous free-kick into the area which found the foot of Howkins but it was over the bar.

Hereford scored the opener just before half-time when White picked out Remaye Campbell who shrugged off his man and fired it into the top corner to claim a debut goal.

That was the final action of a strong first half from Caddis’ side meaning it was 0-1 going into the break.

The hosts had the first chance of the second 45 when Josh Hmami curled a fantastic effort from outside the box which forced a fantastic fingertip save from Theo Richardson, the ball then fell to Finlay Armstrong who put the rebound wide.

In the 65th minute, the hosts had the best chance of the game so far when substitute Ross Crane delivered a brilliant cross into the box which found Barnes but he scooped it over the bar from five yards out.

Richardson was tested again eight minutes later when Margetts brought the ball down inside the box, he turned and got a shot away which was tipped over the bar by the keeper.

Hereford defended superbly and got the reward when Tate Campbell came off the bench to seal the win when he hit the home side on the break after they had committed players forward.
