Hereford extended their winning streak to five with a 2-1 victory at home to Buxton.

Remaye Campbell opened the scoring for the home side just past the half-hour mark before Alex Babos scored a free-kick to make it two in the 69th minute.

The visitors pulled one back through Cian Coleman soon after but it was not enough.

After the win, the Bulls remained in fourth whilst the Bucks stayed in ninth.

Paul Caddis originally named an unchanged lineup to the one that beat Alfreton Town but a late change was made with Sammy Robinson replacing Tate Campbell.

John McGrath made three changes to the side that lost to Curzon Ashton with Connor Kirby, Coleman and Kieran Burton replacing Tom Elliott, Ben Sault and Will Trueman.

The first chance of the game fell to the away side in the ninth minute when a poor clearance from Theo Richardson landed at the feet of Coleman, he then played it to Johnny Johnston but the Bulls keeper recovered brilliantly to make the save.

After a quiet period, Richardson was called into action in the 21st minute when Luke Brennan fired a dangerous effort from the edge of the box which was well saved by the keeper.

In the 33rd minute, a clever through ball put Campbell one-on-one with the keeper but True Grant was fast off his line to deny the striker.

The Bulls kept up the pressure soon after with a big chance when Robinson picked out Levi Andoh just inside the box but the defender put his effort narrowly over the bar.

Hereford took the lead on the cusp of half-time when Kyle Howkins delivered the ball into the box, Jaiden White then flicked it into the path of Campbell who poked it home.

The second 45 got off to a quiet start with neither side creating anything of note.

That was until the hour mark when Yusifu Ceesay had an effort blocked on the edge of the area, the rebound dropped to him kindly but he put his second attempt straight at Grant.

Buxton then broke forward and Johnston found himself inside the box, he went down and the ball dropped to Coleman who directed a low shot at goal which forced a fantastic save out of Richardson.

In the 69th minute, Babos made it two when he curled a free-kick straight into the top corner from the edge of the area.

Five minutes later, the Bucks pulled one back when Kieran Burton played the ball down the line for Brennan, he then delivered it into the area where he picked out Coleman who fired it past Richardson.

Coleman was then sent off just three minutes after scoring for a second yellow following an off the ball incident with Robinson.

Johnston had a huge chance to equalise when he was picked out at the back post with a free header but he put it wide from close range.

Hereford saw out the remainder of the game to claim the 2-1 win.
