The Bulls are at home for the first time in 2025 on Saturday as they host Southport.

Hereford will be looking to return to winning ways after back-to-back losses over the festive period.

The most recent came on New Year’s Day in a 2-1 defeat away to Leamington.

“We had chances and we should’ve scored more goals, football is about moments and we lost out on those moments,” said Paul Caddis.

That game was over two weeks ago as the two most recent fixtures against South Shields and Warrington were postponed, providing the Bulls with a much needed rest.

Hereford go into the game on Saturday in 10th on 37 points, two behind Darlington who occupy the final play-off spot.

Southport have had mixed fortunes so far this season as they currently occupy 15th place on 31 points with eight wins, seven draws and nine losses.

Their most recent game was also two weeks ago when they lost 1-0 to Southend in the FA Trophy.

In the league, the Port had a fairly successful festive period as they beat Warrington on Boxing Day and drew 0-0 to Chester on New Year’s Day.

That win and draw were much needed as before that Jim Bentley’s side had gone seven games without a win in the National League North.

The two sides met earlier on in the season in an emphatic 4-1 away win for the Bulls with goals from Lewis Hudson, Andy Williams and a brace from Alex Babos.

Hereford fans will be hoping to see their side record their first win of the new year on Saturday.
