Hereford FC General Manager, Jamie Griffiths, has provided an update on the Edgar Street pitch ahead of Saturday’s game.

“Despite the freezing temperatures, the pitch has remained playable over the past 48 hours, and taking into account the latest weather forecasts between now and kick off, we remain confident that the game will go ahead as planned.

“The covers are doing their job, protecting the surface from the elements, however we will continue to monitor the weather forecast and pitch conditions, and if anything changes we will communicate with fans asap.”

In preparation for the match, we are calling on volunteers to help remove the covers at 9am on Saturday morning.

“With the earlier kick off at 1pm, it is more important than ever to remove the covers quickly, allowing Ben Bowen as much time as possible to prepare the pitch. The more hands we have on deck, the quicker the covers can be removed and give Ben the time needed to get the pitch ready for the game.

“If you’re available to lend a hand, please join us at Edgar Street at 9am Saturday morning. Your support is vital in ensuring the match can go ahead and the playing surface is in the best condition possible.”

“Thank you for your continued support of Hereford FC – we look forward to seeing you on Saturday!”
