We’re delighted to announce the loan agreement for Theo Richardson from AFC Fylde until the end of the season.

Starting his career in the Manchester United Academy where where he impressed on trial, Theo progressed into their U23’s set up before leaving the Red Devils in 2018

Short spells at Grantham Town, Cleethorpes and King’s Lynn Town landed him a move to Buxton FC where he would stay for two seasons.

In the summer of 2023 he would join National League outfit, AFC Fylde being a mainstay in last season’s campaign and helping them avoid relegation.

Paul Caddis, speaking on his latest addition: said:

“After the news of Tom leaving us, it was important we found a replacement we see as a longer term position for us. Theo had offers from the league above but he pinpointed the fact he wanted to come to a club under our management and to play in front of our well supported club.

“We are signing a goalkeeper who has played over 60 games in the league above and 40 plus of them coming only last season. I believe Theo is a brilliant signing for us and one we are looking forward to working with for the remainder of the season.”
