Hereford FC Chairman, Chris Ammonds, has today expressed his thanks to everyone at the club who played a part in ensuring Boxing Day’s match against Kidderminster Harriers was hosted successfully.
While on the field the result did not go in the Bulls’ favour, a record crowd of 4925 attended the match showing once again the potential the club has.
Ammonds commented:
“I’d like to place on record my thanks to every single person to helped ensure the match against Kidderminster Harriers was a success off the field.
“It takes an enormous team effort to host a crowd of that size and the work done by our office and admin staff, the bar staff, medical service provider, stewards and all our fantastic volunteers on the day should be acknowledged and appreciated by us all. On behalf of every Bulls fan, thank you.
“Without the time, effort and love so many people dedicate to our club it could not function in the way it does, and we certainly wouldn’t be able to look to the future so positively. There’s a lot more we must aim to achieve, but the commitment shown by so many individuals does give us the chance to move forward with optimism.
“While the result in the match itself was disappointing, in my view we were just beaten by a better side on the day, as I have reflected on Boxing Day I have still felt immensely proud of our club as a whole. The support at the game was absolutely brilliant and to see more that 4000 Bulls fans packed into Edgar Street was incredibly heartening.
“It is a little hard to believe, but on the field we are actually only halfway through the season, which means there is absolutely everything to play for. I know that Paul, his staff and the players will be looking to bounce back from the Boxing Day result as quickly as possible and build on the good work they have done in the first half of the season.
“I am really excited to see how the rest of the season plays out and while we should be in no doubt there will be further disappointments along the way, they are inevitable in football after all, I genuinely believe this group of players has already shown enough for us to be confident that they have the quality to continue to compete at the top end of the table for the rest of the season.
“Finally, on behalf of everyone at Edgar Street, I’d like to wish Bulls fans everywhere a very Happy New Year and once again thank you all for your continued, outstanding support.”
