Hereford made it four victories on the bounce at home in the league with a 1-0 win against Scarborough.

Jaiden White scored the only goal of the game when his long-range effort was fumbled through the legs of Ryan Whitley.

The win moves the Bulls into fifth whilst the Seadogs remain in 14th.

Paul Caddis name an unchanged lineup to the one that beat Chorley on Saturday with Tate Campbell returning to the squad on the bench following suspension.

Jonathan Greening made two alterations to the side that beat Rushall Olympic with Richie Bennett and Harry Green replacing Kieran Glynn and Michael Woods.

Hereford had the first chance of the game in the fifth minute after Declan McGlynn played a brilliant backheel into the path of Dylan Mitchell, the loanee then shifted the ball onto his right foot and forced a good save out of the keeper.

Despite the early opportunity for the home side, it was Scarborough who were on top in the early stages but they could not do anything with their possession.

In the 19th minute, Yusifu Ceesay found himself free inside the box after a long free-kick towards the left wing but Kieran Weledji recovered to make a brilliant block.

Five minutes later, Hereford took the lead after White cut inside onto his left foot, his effort was straight at the keeper but bounced just before him and went through his legs and into the back of the net.

Caddis’ side grew into the game after the goal but struggled to create anything of note.

The Seadogs had their first chance of the game in the 39th minute when Green played the ball across to Dom Tear but his shot was blocked by Matt Preston who did excellently to get across.

On the cusp of half-time, a dangerous corner was delivered into the Bulls’ box, the ball was flicked low towards goal but Donaghy was on hand to claim it.

That was the final action of the first half meaning Hereford went into the break 1-0 up.

The second 45 got off to a quiet start with the visitors controlling possession without troubling Donaghy.

Campbell was straight into the action after coming off the bench just past the hour mark when the ball dropped to him nicely on the edge of the area, forcing a good save out of Whitley.

In the 66th minute, a ball into the box was received by White, the winger did well to hold off the defender and get a shot away but it was straight at the keeper.

Hereford continued to search for a second when Ceesay found Lewis Hudson inside the box, the captain brought it down and got a shot away but dragged it wide.

The away side pushed hard for a late equaliser but they were unable to find one meaning that the game finished 1-0.
