The Bulls get their FA Trophy campaign up and running on Saturday as they host Brentwood Town in the Second round.

Hereford will be looking to build on a fantastic 4-0 home win last Saturday against Marine.

“Four goals at home and a clean sheet is brilliant, I genuinely still think we can play better but it was a brilliant reaction to what has been a difficult few days for us,” said Paul Caddis.

It was a big three points for the Bulls after two losses against Oxford City and Chester in which they failed to score.

In the FA Trophy last season Caddis’ side made it to the round of 16 after wins at home to Redbridge, South Park and Torquay United before eventually narrowly losing 1-0 to eventual champions Gateshead.

Brentwood have got off to a decent start to the season as they currently occupy 10th in the Isthmian League North Division, two leagues below Hereford.

The side from Essex have been on a terrific run in the trophy so far, beating Witham Town and Brightlingsea Regent who are in the same league as them.

They then knocked out Cray Wanderers and Cray Valley Paper Mills who are in the tier above them.

The Blues will be looking to return to winning ways after a 2-0 loss in the league away to Sporting Bengal United on Wednesday night.

Keith Rowland’s side came close to promotion into the Isthmian Premier Division last season as they finished in fifth and made it to the play-off final where they lost to Bowers & Pitsea.

Hereford fans will be hoping their side can get a good cup run underway this weekend.
