The Bulls are back in Derbyshire this Saturday as they take on Buxton FC.

Hereford will be looking to return to winning and scoring ways after a 0-0 draw away to Alfreton last weekend which was the third goalless league game in a row, although that does also mean they have kept three clean sheets on the bounce.

“I thought we were excellent at defending the box,” stated Paul Caddis after the game against Alfreton.

“I can only thank the boys in front of me because I didn’t have much to do,” said Aaron Chapman.

Despite the winless run, Hereford still sit in ninth, just one point off the play-offs with only one loss in the league this season.

Buxton have got off to quite a different start to the season as they have not drawn any games, with four wins and five losses which puts them in 16th.

The Bucks fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Curzon Ashton last Saturday after returning to winning ways the week before against Rushall Olympic.

The side from Derbyshire came flying out of the blocks at the start of this campaign with three wins in a row before losing four on the bounce.

John McGrath’s side were safe in mid-table last season as they finished 14th on 62 points, seven behind the Bulls and 12 ahead of the relegation zone.

The travelling Hereford fans will be hoping to continue their fantastic away form on Saturday with no losses on the road so far this season.

Team News

HEREFORD:

Jason Cowley continues to be absent from the squad after picking up an injury in pre-season and he has unfortunately suffered a setback with Caddis expecting him to hopefully be available in seven weeks.

Aaron Skinner has been for an X-ray for a possible fracture in his ankle and will be out long-term.

Alex Babos returned to the bench against Alfreton after he fell awkwardly in the replay against Ilkeston Town which caused his arm to swell.

Preston Bitemo has suffered a suspected stress fracture, and if that is the case, will likely be out for the next 9 weeks.

The Italian has not got going yet in the league this season but he has scored three goals in the FA Cup, McGrath will be hoping his number nine can open his National League North account on Saturday.
