Hereford FC is excited to announce the signing of Ryan Bartley on a month-long loan from Derby County.

Ryan started his career in Crystal Palace’s academy where he would progress from the U18s to the U21s in the summer of 2022. He would go on to spend half a season on loan at National League South side, Eastbourne while at Palace.

Last season the 20-year-old moved to Derby County where he would continue to spend time in their U21 side. Earlier this season, Bartley would move to National League North opposition Spennymoor Town where he would start for The Moors in our trip to the Brewery Field that ended 0-0.

Caddis had this to say about our latest addition:

“Ryan has joined us on an initial short-term loan to add presence to our squad in the back line. A versatile defender who already has NLN experience this season and NLS experience last season so understands the demands of senior men’s football.

“He will add a brilliant option for us and we are really pleased to add Ryan to our current group and want to thank Derby County for their help in getting the deal done so smoothly.”
