Hereford comfortably beat Ross Juniors Women 4-1 at Ross Sports Centre after their loss in the FA Cup two weeks ago.

The Bullettes last faced Ross Juniors Women in the final of the County Cup beating them 5-1 in April.

Both teams started off strong with an early free-kick chance for Ross in the third minute that just missed the goal.

Shortly after that, Captain Sian Bull scored a banger from inside the box in the ninth minute and scored again in the 17th after a lovely cross inside from Sheree Smith putting Hereford up two in the first 20 minutes.

Ross had a couple good corners but never managed to convert any.

Hereford continued to press up the field and proved to be the better team on the pitch.

HALF-TIME: ROSS JUNIORS WOMEN 0-2 HEREFORD FC WOMEN

Hereford carried on with their dominance as soon as they returned on the pitch, as Bull scored a hat trick in the 47th minute.

Despite the setbacks, Ross persevered and launched several counterattacks. On one of those occasions, the ball narrowly missed its target, leading to the home team missing their biggest opportunity of the match.

The Whites continued to have most of the possession but one mistake from the defence in the 83rd minute cost them the clean sheet as Ross finally put one behind the net.

It didn’t take long for the visiting team to score their fourth as Smith restored their three-goal lead in the 87th minute.

After what felt like a long extra time due to a couple minor injuries, Hereford women got all three points on the board.
