Hereford earned all three points in Greater Manchester with a 2-1 win away to Curzon Ashton.

The hosts took the lead in the sixth minute through Isaac Sinclair before Tate Campbell equalised just before the break.

Matt Preston then scored early on in the second half to secure the win.

The win moves the Bulls up to second whilst the Nash drop to fifth.

Paul Caddis made three changes to the side that beat Buxton with Preston, Williams and Aurio Teixeira replacing Sammy Robinson, Adam Rooney and Ty Deacon.

Craig Mahon made just one change to the team that beat King’s Lynn in the FA Cup, bringing himself into the lineup for Adam Barton.

The Bulls had the first chance of the game in the fourth minute when Kyle Howkins broke forward and delivered a cross to the back post for Williams who headed wide.

Just two minutes later the hosts took the lead when Sinclair found himself in space outside the box, he then curled the ball past Aaron Chapman and into the top right corner from around 25 yards out.

In the 12th minute, a cross from Stefan Mols was deflected towards goal which forced Chapman into a good save.

Soon after Hereford had a similar chance when Alex Babos delivered a dangerous ball into the box which took a deflection but Bobby Jones reacted well to gather the ball.

Sinclair came close to scoring another spectacular goal in the 28th minute when he connected with an overhead kick which went just over the bar.

On the cusp of half-time Hereford equalised when the ball dropped to Campbell on the edge of the area from a corner, the midfielder then had a shot which was deflected into the back of the net.

That was the final action of the first half meaning it was 1-1 going into the break.

Caddis’ side got off to the perfect start early in the second 45 when Ryan Bartley delivered the ball towards the back post where Preston was free to head the ball past Jones to put the Bulls ahead.

Just three minutes later Hereford nearly had their third when Yusifu Ceesay put a dangerous cross into the box which forced a mistake from the Nash defence with a clearance hitting the post.

In the 63rd minute, a Curzon Ashton free-kick found Mols who flicked his header towards the bottom corner but Chapman was equal to it with a brilliant save.

A few minutes later, Mols thought he had grabbed the equaliser when he headed home but the linesman’s flag was up for offside.

The Bulls saw out the final 30 minutes with no real chances for either side meaning that the game finished 2-1.
