Hereford Women played their biggest game in the club’s history today as they took on Boldmere St. Michaels Women at The Boldmere Community Stadium.
The Bullettes drew Boldmere after a 4-0 win against Longlevens Ladies FC in the second qualifying round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup – they hoped to make even bigger history against Boldmere this afternoon.
A tough first half saw Hereford go into half-time 1-0 down against tier four side Boldmere St Michaels.
The goal came from The Mikes in the 26th minute.
In the 17th minute, Hereford’s goalkeeper Hannah Pritchard made an excellent save to deny their opposition a chance at goal.
Despite having glimpses of chances, Boldmere proved to be the better half in the first 45 minutes and Hereford had some work to do.

Boldmere started the second half as the stronger side, however Hereford showed no fear as their defence worked hard to keep the ball out of the net.
As the match progressed, The Whites pressed forwards hoping to find an equaliser but unfortunately were challenged by Boldmere making them unable to find a goal.
Hereford made their first substitution in the 67th minute replacing Darcie Smith with Alisha Herdman.

The Mikes made it 2-0 in the 71st minute.
A further substitution was made for Hereford in the 75th minute with Olivia Barnes making way for Issie Pearson.
Hereford were awarded a free kick in the 79th minute, brilliantly shooting into the box but were unfortunate not to find the back of the net.
Another substitution for Hereford as Amelia Griffiths departed and Martha Sharland came on in hope to get a goal back.
In the 90th minute, Boldmere made it three.

Although Hereford exit the FA Cup, they have made club history and should feel extremely proud of themselves.
Their next match is against Droitwich Spa LFC Development on Sunday 20th October at home in the Midwest Counties Female Football League.
