Meet Yssie, our new participation officer. She’ll be traveling round schools in Herefordshire helping to teach the sports curriculum to those who need additional help. We caught up with Yssie as she starts her new role:
“Hi I’m Yssie, I am so excited to join the team at Hereford FC as a participation officer in the community!
I was born here in Hereford, have lived here all my life and have played football for various local teams (Lads Club, Bartestree and Hereford) since the age of 6!
I have recently graduated from Oxford Brookes University studying Sports, Coaching and Physical Education; throughout my 3 years at university I played for the first team, was President of the Women’s Football Club and have expanded my knowledge of coaching and everything in between!
Since being back in Hereford, I have secured a few different coaching positions with the HFA to try and widen my experience!
I am really looking forward to working with the community on the ‘Off The Line’ project. Offering a different motive to young individuals in schools who need guidance with finding an alternative direction in life!”
