Hereford FC is delighted to announce that following a meeting with Bulls’ Chairman, Chris Ammonds, the club’s Founding (Initial) Shareholders have offered to ‘match fund’ donations made by fellow Bulls supporters as Squad Builder 2024/25 is launched.
The offer from the Founding Shareholders – who injected £250,000 into the club in 2015 to ensure it started from a firm footing – will see them match the amount of money donated to Squad Builder by the wider fanbase in a further attempt to boost the playing budget that Bulls’ manager, Paul Caddis, has available to him.
As always, every penny raised through Squad Builder will be ringfenced and can only be spent on the playing squad, meaning each donation – big or small – has a direct impact on the field of play.
Last season, just over £60,000 was donated by supporters – including contributions from the Founding Shareholders – so the aim this year is to smash that total to provide even more support to the Hereford FC manager.
Huge Opportunity For Fans
As an example of the potentially massive impact this initiative could have on Squad Builder, if 250 fans were able to donate £10 a month for 12 months (approximately £2.50 per week), it would add £30,000 to the playing budget, while if 500 fans made the same donation, the total would reach £60,000.
That £60,000 would then be doubled to an incredible £120,000 thanks to the fantastic ‘match funding’ offer from the Founding Shareholders, so the opportunity for the club’s whole fanbase to work together to boost the playing budget this year is enormous!

“During our meeting, the Founding Shareholders – who contribute to Squad Builder every year – told me how much they had enjoyed the 2023/24 season and how proud they were to be part of the magnificent support offered by fans throughout the campaign. They also spoke of their pleasure at seeing the bond rebuilt between the stands, terraces and the pitch.
“They were clear it is the brilliant support and the ‘feel good’ factor currently around the club that has inspired them to put forward this exciting idea.
“I’d like to place on record my sincere thanks for this offer and I really hope it adds new impetus to our Squad Builder initiative moving forward and that it takes donations towards the club’s playing budget to new levels.”
