Hereford fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Boston United.
The visitors took the lead early on in the second half through Jordan Richards before Jai Rowe made it two in the 64th minute to secure the three points.
The win for Boston meant that they secured their spot in the play-offs with a sixth placed finish whilst Hereford ended the season in 11th.
Paul Caddis made two changes to the side that beat Warrington with Nathan Cameron and Jason Cowley replacing Paul Downing and Tope Obadeyi.
Ian Culverhouse named an unchanged Boston line-up from the one that won away at Banbury on Tuesday night.
The Bulls had the first big chance of the game in the 6th minute when Cowley got to the ball before Michael Bostwick which put him one on one with the keeper but Cameron Gregory was off his line quickly to save the shot.
In the 17th minute, the visitors came close when a ball into the box dropped just over the head of Yusifu Ceesay and into the path of Rowe who fired his shot wide.
Another big opportunity fell the way of Hereford in the 28th minute when Cowley played Andy Williams in behind who forced another fantastic save out of Gregory low to his right.
Caddis’ side had another chance 10 minutes later when Cowley was slipped in again, this time by Aurio Teixeira, the number nine then played it across goal but it was just too far in front of Williams.
On the cusp of half-time, the ball dropped to Williams inside the box, from a tight angle he looped the ball over Gregory but it hit the far post and was cleared away.
That was the final action of the first half meaning that it was 0-0 going into the break.
Boston started the second 45 in a lively fashion and got the reward for it in the 51st minute when the ball was played to Richards inside the box who fired the ball past Curtis Pond to put the away side ahead.
Just past the hour mark, the Pilgrims doubled their lead when the ball was passed to Rowe inside the box on the right hand side, he then fired it across goal and into the back of the net to make it 2-0.
In the 70th minute, Obadeyi was off the bench and straight into the action when he was found free at the back post by Alex Babos from a corner but the winger headed wide.
Hereford controlled possession late on but were unable to break the visitors down meaning that the game finished 0-2.
